Endolift in Karachi: Laser Skin Tightening and Contouring
As skin ages, its collagen framework weakens and the deeper support structures lose position, producing a softer jawline, heaviness through the lower face and neck, and small fat pockets that no longer sit where they once did.
Endolift is a minimally invasive treatment that works from beneath the skin rather than across its surface. A micro-optical fibre, finer than a hair, is placed into the subdermal plane and delivers controlled laser energy to tighten tissue, stimulate new collagen and reduce localised fat, all without surgery or general anaesthesia.
What Is Endolift?
At Dr. Nakhoda’s Skin Institute we perform Endolift using the Eufoton® 1470 nm diode laser, the original platform on which the Endolift technique was developed, with micro-optical fibres of 200–400 microns.
The 1470 nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by water and fat. Passed through the subdermal plane, it produces a controlled thermal effect that does two things at once: existing collagen contracts immediately and a healing response lays down new collagen over the following months, while localised fat in the treated layer is reduced. Entry points are small enough that no stitches are required.
Because the energy is delivered below the skin, the epidermis is largely bypassed. This matters in Pakistan, where most patients have Fitzpatrick skin types III to V and carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from surface resurfacing lasers.
Areas We Treat
Face and neck: lower face and jawline · submental area (double chin) · neck · cheeks and mid-face · nasolabial region · upper eyelid and brow, using a finer fibre.
Body: arms · inner thighs · abdomen.
Treatment mapping is decided at consultation. Not every area suits every patient.
What Happens During Treatment
Treatment areas are marked with you sitting upright, so gravity’s effect on your tissues is accurately represented. The skin is prepared under strict aseptic technique and numbed with injectable local anaesthetic. No general anaesthesia or sedation is needed. The micro-fibre is introduced through a micro-entry point and advanced through the subdermal plane in a controlled fanning motion while energy is delivered and skin temperature is monitored throughout. A dressing or compression garment may be applied afterwards.
Who Is Suitable?
Endolift suits adults with mild to moderate skin laxity, reasonable elasticity, small localised fat pockets rather than generalised excess, a stable weight and realistic expectations.
It is less likely to satisfy patients with significant skin excess, very poor elasticity or substantial submental fullness. Surgery gives a better result in those cases. Being told a treatment is not right for you is a legitimate consultation outcome. If Endolift isn’t correct, we will discuss HIFU, Ultherapy, Sofwave, Morpheus8, thread lifting or facelift surgery instead.
Contraindications
Endolift is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding; with active infection, acne, inflammatory skin disease or an open wound at the site; with bleeding disorders or anticoagulants that cannot safely be interrupted; with uncontrolled diabetes or impaired wound healing; with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring; with active autoimmune connective tissue disease; with local anaesthetic allergy; or where expectations cannot realistically be met.
Individual assessment required: isotretinoin within the past 6 months, previous facial surgery, previous filler or thread placement in the treatment plane, and implanted electronic devices.
Disclose your full medical history, all medications and supplements including blood-thinning agents, and any previous aesthetic treatments. Prior fillers or threads matter particularly, as they alter the tissue planes.
Recovery and Aftercare
Endolift is a day procedure. Expect mild swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, a feeling of tightness, temporary firmness beneath the skin and some altered sensation. These settle progressively over several days, occasionally up to a week or longer depending on the area.
First 24–48 hours: rest and avoid strenuous exercise; gentle walking is fine. Keep the area clean and avoid rubbing or massaging it unless instructed. Use a cool compress for swelling, never ice directly on skin. Sleep with your head slightly elevated after facial, jawline or submental treatment. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and very hot showers. Avoid alcohol for the first 24 hours.
Skincare: gentle cleanser and a simple non-irritating moisturiser. No retinoids, acids or scrubs for 5–7 days. No facials, peels, microneedling or other energy-based treatments until cleared. No makeup over entry points for at least 24 hours.
Sun protection: avoid direct sun during healing; use broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+ once the skin allows and reapply outdoors.
Contact the clinic immediately if you have increasing or severe pain, rapidly worsening swelling, spreading redness or warmth, discharge, fever, persistent bleeding, blistering or skin discolouration, new weakness or asymmetry, or any symptom that concerns you or is not improving. Contact us rather than treating it yourself.
Full written aftercare instructions are provided after treatment, and a follow-up appointment is scheduled to assess your healing.
Results
Some tightening may be apparent early but is usually masked by swelling in the first week. Visible improvement typically begins around 5–14 days and continues developing over three to six months as collagen remodels.
Longevity varies with age, skin quality, weight stability and sun exposure. Endolift does not halt ageing; tissues continue to age from an improved starting point. We will not quote a fixed number of years, because the evidence does not support it.
Risks and Side Effects
Endolift breaks the skin and delivers thermal energy beneath it. Understanding the risks is part of informed consent.
Common, settling within days to weeks: swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, temporary firmness or small nodules, temporary numbness.
Less common: prolonged swelling, persistent firmness, mild contour irregularity, transient pigment change.
Uncommon but significant: thermal burn where energy or skin temperature is not adequately controlled; infection at an entry point; fat necrosis presenting as a firm tender lump; and injury to the marginal mandibular nerve in the jawline or submental region, causing usually temporary weakness of the lower lip. Persistent pigment change or scarring is uncommon.
Published complication reports consistently attribute serious adverse events to technique, energy control and asepsis rather than to the technology itself. Who performs your Endolift matters more than which clinic markets it hardest.
Endolift Compared
| Endolift | HIFU / Ultherapy / Sofwave | Facelift Surgery |
Approach | Minimally invasive: fibre beneath the skin | Non-invasive: energy through the skin | Surgical repositioning |
Anaesthesia | Local | None or topical | General or sedation |
Treats fat | Yes, small deposits | No | Yes, surgically |
Downtime | 2–3 days | Minimal | Weeks |
Best for | Mild–moderate laxity with fat pockets | Mild laxity, good skin quality | Moderate–significant laxity |
These are not interchangeable. Endolift offers a minimally invasive middle ground between non-invasive tightening devices and surgery, but it is not a substitute for surgery when the anatomy requires surgery.
Why Dr. Nakhoda’s Skin Institute
Dr. Nakhoda’s Skin Institute is a dermatology and aesthetic practice in Karachi led by Dr. Tasneem Nakhoda, [ADD: credentials and years in practice].
For a procedure this technique-dependent, what matters is who performs it. Every patient is fully assessed before Endolift is recommended, including whether another treatment would serve them better. Treatment is performed by a qualified doctor on the original Eufoton platform, with continuous skin temperature monitoring, strict asepsis, written aftercare, a scheduled review and direct access to the clinic during recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Endolift painful? It is performed under local anaesthetic and is generally comfortable, though you may feel pressure or movement beneath the skin. Afterwards the area feels tender and swollen for a few days, usually managed with simple painkillers.
How much downtime does it need? Most patients need two to three days for swelling to settle enough to return to normal activity. Bruising may take longer and can be covered with makeup once entry points have healed.
How many sessions will I need? Many patients are treated in a single session. Some need a second, and some choose maintenance later. This is decided individually.
Is Endolift safe for brown skin? Because energy is delivered beneath the skin rather than through its surface, the epidermis is largely bypassed, reducing hyperpigmentation risk compared with surface resurfacing lasers. Practitioner experience with your skin type still matters.
Can it treat a double chin? Yes, in patients with a modest fat pocket and reasonable skin elasticity. Large fat volume or significant loose skin needs a different approach. This is assessed in person.
Can I have Endolift if I’ve had fillers or threads? Tell us. Previous fillers or threads alter the tissue planes and change how treatment is planned. It does not automatically rule you out.
What does Endolift cost in Karachi? Cost depends on the number and size of areas treated, and is confirmed at consultation.
